1. I’ve never been hospitalized overnight. I guess that’s a pretty good track record given some of the less than brilliant decisions I’ve made over the course of my life.

2. I first used a computer when I was about 10 years old, so 1985. It was a portable that weighed about 30 pounds that my dad brought home from work. It might have been this one: http://oldcomputers.net/ibm5155.html

3. I’ve been in two car accidents, one serious, one minor. I still get nervous driving through green lights…

4. I’ve broken one bone in my body, my right arm, and it was caused by combining me + wooden sled + huge ramp.

5. The first time I logged onto the internet it was with a text based lynx browser, and I figured it wouldn’t last. Who knew?

6. My music player has Daft Punk, Crystal Method, The Prodigy, The Piano soundtrack, Massive Attack, Robert Miles, John Williams, Lily Allen, Regina Spektor and Overseer to name a few….

7. Jobs I’ve had: baker, janitor, landscaper, circus roadie, painter, computer tech, forklift driver, project coordinator and a network specialist.

8. In high school a friend and I had a short lived public access TV show called MDTV, unfortunately I got distracted as youth sometimes does, but it was funny while it lasted.

9. I was awarded “most athletic” in my grade 8 school year, but I didn’t play any more sports in school after that.

10. I have 27 windows open on my PC right now, and I consider that to be a light day.

11. I often play multiplayer online role playing games. The list includes: Asheron’s Call, Asheron’s Call 2, Anarchy Online, World of Warcraft, EVE online, Everquest 2, Warhammer Online, Vanguard, Dark age of Camelot. I’m not playing any now.

12. One of my nicknames at work is “Oddjob”. I think because I am willing to figure out how to do things after I say yes.

13. I know how to do some programming, and do so every day, but I am not a programmer. I just like to use the skills to make my real job easier, and/or fully automated.

14. I’m not superstitious at all. I don’t knock on wood, throw salt, or any such thing. I don’t judge those who are, but I just can’t be bothered.

15. One personality trait I find annoying is comfort with ignorance. As in a person who knows they don’t know something that they should know, but makes no effort to change that fact.

16. I spend most of my waking hours in front of a computer. And I’m fine with that. I can’t believe I grew up without google.

17. I like to walk, not run, in the rain. It’s just water after all, and it makes me feel a part of the world in a very unique way.

18. I believe that dumb people don’t learn from their experiences. Smart people learn from their own experiences. Brilliant people learn from everyone’s experiences.

19. I think puns are pretty funny. I think I get that from my dad.

20. I failed my driver’s test twice. Despite that, I consider myself a very good driver. I think I was just nervous.

21. On more than one occasion I have eaten a bowl of rice one grain at a time to exercise my patience.

22. I have 7 active email accounts, and they are all active for one reason or another.

23. I don’t remember having any dreams of the “What I want to be when I grow up” variety. But I did kind of figure that I would be some kind of computery guy.

24. When I got my tongue stuck to a pole in the winter as a child, it wasn’t because I didn’t know what would happen. I wanted to see for myself. I didn’t wait for someone to pour water, I just started pulling until it came off. Hurt.

25. I’m still hoping I get some sort of cybernetic implant in my lifetime. It’s one of my dreams.
