Firda’s highly scientifical plan is as follows;

Step 1: In January, start blogging once a week.
Step 2: In March, start blogging twice a week.
Step 3: In May, start blogging three times a week.
Step 4: In July, start blogging four times a week.
Step 5: In September, start blogging five times a week.
Step 6: In November, start blogging six times a week. Unless you join theNaBloPoMo, in which case, you may want to take it a step further and start blogging every day of the week.

When January 2012 comes, in theory, you’ll find blogging every day a piece of cake. I said “in theory” because, well, I only came up with it last night! There is no proof or guarantee that it’s going to work but it doesn’t mean that it’s not worth trying.

I may just try and see how far I get.  You can’t argue with scientificalness.

It was actually in a couple of different formats, and the bulk of it required me to install Moveable Type (my old content management software of choice) just to export it into a format that WordPress (my new content management software of choice) understands.

Long story short, I now have almost all the blog entries I’ve ever made.  Some are missing pictures, some are boring, some interesting, I really don’t know.  We shall see.  I know I’ve already found a couple that made me very confused

But it’s good to have them.  It’s nice to have a little window into who I used to be.  It reminds me how much my life has changed, and yes, improved over the last 7 years.

Lightbox is the fancy little javascript that pops up image overlays when you click on a thumbnail image.

Honestly, I’m likely not going to have a daily blog post stating that Lily hasn’t shown her face yet…but well, that is still the case.

Actually the reason for this post is that I am playing with the Windows Live Writer, a desktop application from Microsoft designed for managing and updating your weblog.  (Got this link via Lucky7)

I will have to play with it some, but it was very easy to set up.  After an install all it asked was the url of the site and the login and from there it automatically determined that I was using WordPress and configured itself accordingly.  I have no issues with setting things up manually but I certainly understand that others may be a bit dumbstruck things like this.  I do have to give the developers credit in the User friendly department.

It is worth an extended look I think.  Sometimes the ease of a desktop application is a bit nicer that dealing with a web interface.  Don’t get me wrong, the WordPress web interface is quite capable and overall, very good, certain things are just more efficient off web.

I just hated my last attempt. It was scetchy fromt he start and I just got sick of it and hit delete. Stuff happens.

So what do you do when someone at work smells a little like pee? A tough situation….I don’t want to smell pee…but I don’t want to say…”hey pee pee pants…what’s the dealio?” Know what I mean? I guess I’ll just live with it.

And why to grown people have to be treated like children? i.e. why should I have to remind people over and over to return a mandatory survey. Why should I hound them for their year end self evaluations? Why should I have to directly tell them “Answer the phone” when it is their ob to answer the phone? Seriously…what’s wrong with people. It makes me crazy. And why do I have to deal with one person who is like a schoolyard bully….again…we are all adults…why should I have to comfort someone who is literally shaking because they are afraid that if they ask the bully a question they will get in trouble and get fired. Why do I have to do that?

Granted, I like my job, and I’m glad I can be there for people to help them and remind them and all…but I never expect anyone to hold my hand, why should they be any different? It baffles the mind. Frak.
