Have changed things up a bit, just because I can.
I figured I would make the jump from my webhost of many years, AMHosting, to a virtual Linux server hosted at Linode.com and manage things at a much deeper level that standard web hosting allows.
I for the record never had any significant problems with AMhosting, and for anyone looking for an inexpensive and very reliable web host, I would highly recommend them. Great folks over there.
So, for the moment at least this site is now running on a virtual Linux server, configured almost entirely by me. I’ve always wanted to do this, and this virtual machine is a good way to do it, while being far less expensive than a dedicated server.
Good times for me and my nerdly-ness.
