Well looky loo…
I’ve added a wedding category.
In Laura’s words…My word!
It dawned on me today that I am the last in my family of 8 kids to get married. That should be quite the cause for celebration among my kinfolk. ![]()
Second to last born, last one to tie the proverbial knot.
It still seems kind of surreal. Even though we have a guest list, a wedding registry package, and lots of wedding books, it’s still kind of hard to reconcile in my reality. I will be a Husband…neat…not scary…weird…
We have a tentative date, as you may have noticed by the countdown in the sidebar, but we will still need to book a place. Only then will it really seem like the real date to me.
I’m not sure how far in advance we need to do things like this…
But to me, the earlier the better. I can leave things to the last minute with the best of them, but I am already itching to get some of the details worked out even though the date is over a year away.
I just want them out of my mind. The big things anyway, like the location and reception hall. It’s looking to be over 100 people, probably 130ish… I want to invite everyone I know, but can’t afford to feed them all… Donations are accepted!
We have an officiant in mind, a general location (If you can call narrowing it down to a 3 city area a general location)
I want to send out save the date cards….(Or whatever you call them)
Maybe I’ll stop rambling now…

How about Tilsonburg
Ha ha ha ha ha! Is that one of the three towns? Crazy.
The fun part about marriage is after the ceremony is over and you occasionally think “Holy crap I’m married - Buhzah!?!?!”
Good times.

“Holy crap I’m married - Buhzah!?!?!”
That pretty much sums it up. After Jennifer and I had kicked everyone out of the house and sat down to relax it hit us. After all the months of planning we were married. Wow! It is a nice feeling though. Just remember when you think the ceremony is over watch out. We hit the part where you would think you aree married and the guy talked for another 5 minutes………doh!

congratulations!!
My advice: do EVERYTHING you can do, as early as possible, because there will NEVER be enough time to do it all anyway
Happy planning!
On one level I’m super jealous/envious that you get to have a wedding and plan it all because that was so much fun to do. On another level though, I’d so happy all that stress is behind me! Good luck!
