Chalk it up to boredom, insanity, or a lack of a life, but I just now finished watching the entire first season of 24 in just under 48 hours.
When I borrowed the DVD set from Joe Saturday night, Troy warned me not to watch one that night. Of course, I didn’t listen. At 1am Sunday morning I tossed in the DVD and began to watch. Next thing I knew It was 7am and I drifted off to sleep part way into episode 7.
3 hours later I awoke, ran a couple quick errands and proceeded to watch another 10 episodes. Each episode is about 45 minutes by the way. But I needed some brief interludes of what came to be known as ’sanity time’ throughout the day.
I had to stop at about 8pm Sunday night when once again, I drifted off to sleep. This time until Monday morning. A boring day of work passed, all the while wishing I was home watching….
After work I quickly made some dinner, and ate it while watching the final 8 episodes.
Whew…
Overall, I thought it was a fantastic series. And I got to watch it in glorious commercial free bliss. 
I’ve heard Season 2 is even better. I will have to rent that DVD set soon.

every Labor day FX does a marathon. This year it was season 2, last year season 1. We watched it last year, almost in it’s entirety and this year the same with season 2. I love love love this show!!! I’m guessing you’re not watching the current season then? Damn!

Not watching the current season.
And the more I think about it, the more I think I won’t watch the 3rd season until it comes out on DVD.
If I try to catch it on TV I am bound to miss episodes and have to sit through the infernal commercials.
